Coach Patrick’s Story

A Star Athlete’s Journey: Patrick’s Rise to Success in Soccer.

A four-year high school All-American from Lodi, California, Ianni represented the U.S. on youth national teams in various countries.

He earned a full-ride scholarship to UCLA, was named an NCAA All-American and Pac-12 Player of the Year, and played for the USA U-20 World Cup Team where team USA beat Lionel Messi and Argentina 1-0.

Drafted by Houston Dynamo in 2006, Patrick won two MLS Cup Championships in 3 years there.

Patrick became an Olympian in 2008 when he was chosen to be a part of the U.S.A. Olympic team for the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

Patrick later played for the Seattle Sounders and Chicago Fire, winning three U.S. Open Cup Championships and scored the MLS Goal of the Year ( See Video Below).

Patrick retired from Major League Soccer in 2015 having been a part of well over 300 professional matches with 130 total appearances and 98 starts.

Patrick resides in Newport Beach where he serves his private training clients in person and virtually and also runs soccer classes that serve over 80 children in the Newport / Costa Mesa Area.
